The Servant as Leader

This is one of two books that brought Servant Leadership alive to me like no others. It is the original book by founder Robert Greenleaf called The Servant as Leader. This is a small book that takes an hour to read and a life time to assimilate.

In it, Greenleaf explores what leadership would look like if we sought to inspire and nurture rather than control. His tenant is that people can achieve anything if they have the support and belief of someone who has faith in their character and ability. Although not an easy read, this book will tip your conception of leadership on its head. Read it slowly and carefully.
