Temple Grandin Movie on HBO a "Success"

Both a veterinary legend and inspiration, Dr. Temple Grandin is an educator, speaker, and author of eight books including Animals Make Us Human: Creating the Best Life for Animals and Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior. She was the first woman to develop equipment that would handle livestock slaughter in a more humane way and managed to overcome social prejudices during a time period in American history where sexism ran rampant and learning differences were not embraced. In addition to her work in the veterinary world, she has also become a well-known advocate for autism and autism education.
Recently, HBO produced and aired the television movie Temple Grandin - starring Claire Daines, Catherine O'Hara, David Strathairn, and Julia Ormond - it's a powerful story of a woman who has used her differences and risen above the challenges she's faced to inspire others and help both humans and animals.
