Micaela Z. Shaughnessy, VMD
A 1993 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Shaughnessy is also the single mother of two girls, ages 7 and 8.
Since 1999, Dr. Shaughnessy has provided relief veterinary services in the Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland area for over 40 small animal clinics and emergency hospitals.
Dr. Shaughnessy is a frequent writer and presenter on gender and generational issues, and negotiation. She recently presented for Virginia Veterinary Medical Association, and is speaker at veterinary schools and national and state conferences.
